Many
of us are enjoying a three day weekend right now, in honor of Presidents
Day. With this, and other three-day weekends comes the opportunity to take a quick
trip to see sites, visit family and friends or just get away for a
few days. In honor of this traveling tradition, weve put together a Road
Trip bundle that includes everything you will need to scrap your travels.
The Road
Trip bundle includes five alphabets (Signaled,
Slide
Show, Highway,
Main
Street and Road
Trip) and five fonts (LD
Interstate, LD
RV, LD
City Scape, Scrap
Map and Scrap
States) for just $10.00. Each of these fonts and alphabets is a great basic
to add to your collection of Lettering
Delights products.

Now
on to the Creative Corner project for this month.... Have you ever been to
a bridal shower where all the guests were asked to bring a recipe to share with
the bride? Or attended a potluck meal where the recipe for the dish you provided
was requested? Events like these are where many of my favorite recipes have been
acquired and shared. With the Lettering Delights image browser,
Journaling Delights images and a wide array of fun fonts, its easy to make
beautiful, custom recipe cards that make sharing a recipe (and having multiple
copies) a snap. To get started, open your
Lettering Delights browser and go to Journaling Delights. You will notice that
all of the Journaling Delights sets include a large rectangular photo/journaling
box. When you are selecting the JD set you plan to use, pay particular attention
to this clip, because this is the size that will work best for a finished 4x6
or 3x5 recipe card. Select the clip you are planning
to use and Click the Add text at the bottom of your screen. In the
text box which appears, type your recipe information and instructions. Use the
options available in the text window to size your text and size and move the text
box to fit on the recipe card appropriately. Click
Add to place the image (including the text) in the clipboard and move to a layout
page. Place the image on the layout page, select
the image and then click Size Image. Choose the dimensions of your
recipe card and enter them in the appropriate boxes. To be sure that the image
sizes proportionally, be sure that the Constrained box is checked
for the width or height. The final dimensions may not be exactly 4x6 or 3x5, but
this can be resolved when you trim the printed card. Print
your custom recipe card on white (or light colored) cardstock and give it a quick
trim to the final size.
Remember to send us samples of all the creative
ways you are using Lettering Delights products for the monthly Inspirations contest.
