| | How
many of you are always looking for some extra time? (It seems especially
bad for me in the summer.) I’m not sure I’ll ever find that
extra time, but meanwhile, there are lots of short cuts I can use to save
some time. In this month’s creative corner, I’m giving you
tips on making the easiest card ever! Lettering
Delights has done all the
work. If you have shopped for cards in any store lately, you know that
cards come in all shapes and sizes so there are no rules to follow except
to have fun.
I hope you have fun with this easy idea!

Using Lettering
Delights alphabets, fonts and Journaling
Delights together give you all of the elements you need to design beautiful
scrapbook pages, creative cards, signs and posters for any event or occasion.
But Journaling
Delights alone can give you a quick and beautiful card
in practically no time at all. Since Journaling
Delights come in so many
designs, shapes and sizes, it’s easy to find a design that will
work for the occasion.
Below I’ve included samples of a few images from Journaling Delights
sets that I have used for quick and easy cards. There are so many to
choose from it was hard to select just these few!
Flower Field from ‘JD
Mary Contrary’
Ties from ‘JD
Tie One On’
Strawberry from ‘JJD
Strawlicious’
Balloon from ‘JD
Helium’
Pink Rose from ‘JD
Dusty Rose’

To print your card, open your browser and go to Journaling Delights. From the
Category drop-down box in the upper right corner, select Journaling Delights
or Jillustration. Browse the Sub Categories to find the Journaling Delights
set that best fits the theme you are looking for. Select
the image you want to use and Click the ‘Add’ to place
the image on the clipboard. Move to
the layout page and click the image in the ‘Image’ box
to place it on the page. Select the image and then click ‘Size
Image’. Choose the dimensions of your card, as large or as
small as you would like, and enter them in the appropriate boxes.
(To be sure that your image sizes proportionally, check the ‘Constrained’ box
for the width or height.)
When you finalize the image’s position on the layout page,
remember which direction you are going to have the card open and
place it accordingly to allow for plenty of cardstock on the proper
side. For example, if you are creating a card that will open from
the bottom, with the fold on top, be sure to place the image far
enough down on the page to create the folded side. - Print
your layout page, trim the card, doubling the width or height for
the folded side, and then fold and personalize with a handwritten
note.
