Creative Corner: Ideas for Fun Mailing Labels
| I have many family members and friends who live in different
parts of the country, which means that I send lots of packages. Using
Journaling Delights, it’s easy to create fun and festive mailing
labels. |

Open the Lettering Delights browser and go
to Journaling Delights. From the Category drop-down box in
the upper right corner, select either Journaling Delights or
Jillustration. Browse the Sub Categories to find a JD Image
Set that you like.

Select the image you will use for the
label, and select Add Text. Choose a font and type the
name and address of the package recipient in the text box.
Use the sliding alignment tools to adjust the size and placement
of the text box inside the Journaling Delights image. Click “Add” to
place the image on the clipboard.

Move to the layout page,
and click the image in the “Image” box
to place it on the page. Select the image, and click “Size
Image.” Enter the desired dimensions of your label. (Check
the “Constrained” box for the width or height so
the image resizes proportionally.)

Print the layout page
on cardstock, trim the excess paper and adhere the label
to your package. For easy attachment, print the label on sticky-back
paper.

Computers are used to read addresses and sort most packages,
so there are a couple of tips that will ensure successful and timely
delivery. Labels that cannot be read by the computer are set aside
to be sorted by hand, which can cause delivery to take an extra day
or two.
