Journaling Delights set in the following designs (from left to right):
JJD True
Love (with LD
Heart Throb), JD Love Blocks* (with LD
Hearts) and
JJD Cupids (with LD
Peek A Boo).
* The Love Blocks Journaling Delights design is available only on the
Essential
Jillustration Collection Volume 1 software package.
Creating these Valentines is simple.
Using Journaling Delights:
1. Open the Lettering
Delights browser and select Journaling Delights.
From the Categories drop-down box in the upper right corner, select either
Journaling Delights or Jillustration. Browse the Sub Categories to find
a JD Image Set that you like best.
2. Click the image you want to use. If you do not want to add text, simply
click “Add” to place the image on the clipboard. If you want
to add text, select Add Text and type in the text box, changing the font
design and size to best fit the image. Click OK, then click “Add” to
place the image on the clipboard.
Using an Alphabet:
1. Open the Lettering
Delights browser and select Alphabets. Select an
alphabet style.
2. Type your greeting on the text line, and click “Add” to
place the image on the clipboard.
3. Move to the layout page by clicking Layout on the left, and click
the image in the “Image” box to place it on the layout page.
Select the image and click “Size Image.” Enter the dimensions
in the appropriate boxes, and click OK. Drag the image to where you want
it to print on the page. (Remember to check the “Constrained” box
for the width or height to be sure that the image resizes proportionally.)
4. Repeat steps 1-3 until you have all of the Valentines you want. Be
sure to leave enough room between your images to allow for cropping.
5. Print the layout page on cardstock, and trim the images. Note: In
the samples above, some were trimmed and mounted on cardstock, and some
were just cut out to size.
6. Cut two slits with an X-Acto knife or other straight blade. To allow
the most room and prevent tearing, cut the slits about ¾” long.
Slip the lollipop stick through the slits, and you’re done!
