Twenty-Seven Layouts Finished! |
|
|
|

|
|
When I’m creating
a layout or adding journaling, I look through my Lettering
Delights products in search of the right fit for my page.
I feel a sense of satisfaction when I find an alphabet, font
or Journaling Delight that complements and completes my layout.
With the new look and features of LetteringDelights.com,
it’s now easier to find a specific style or subject,
or simply browse the categories until something catches
your eye. Type a keyword or phrase into the search box,
and instantly see products fitting that topic. For example,
if I can’t remember the name of the Christmas tree
alphabet Marna
Hill designed, the Advanced Search feature
tells me it’s Merry
Joy.
Using the site as a search tool is a great
way to save time. If you don’t already have that
perfect alphabet for a layout, placing an order is quick;
you’ll have downloadable products to use at home
in no time.
I’ve been spending quite a bit of time
at LetteringDelights.com because I’ve been spending
quite a bit of time completing layouts: twenty-seven pages
finished at last count! The layout I’m sharing today
is very simple. It uses the font LD
Elegancia. I
was looking for a font that fit the Constitution theme
of the layout, and LD Elegancia has the antique style I
wanted yet is fairly easy to read. It worked well for the
journaling and the title; I just made very large individual
letters (110 point) for the USA blocks.

With a little time at LetteringDelights.com,
chances are you’ll find a perfect fit for your projects
as well. We’re always open for you.

7. Where Are the Contests
This Month? |
|
Beginning this month,
contests have changed to better meet your interests and
to allow us more time to focus on developing the products
you love most. If you want us to make an alphabet with
a certain theme or look, we welcome your requests. Send
us a description of what you would like us to create,
or upload an image to help illustrate your idea. Tell
us what you’d like on our idea request form at http://www.letteringdelights.com/prod_request.php.
We won’t be having a
layout contest each month. Instead, we’re working
on a way for you to share your ideas with everyone (and
win prizes while doing so). Stay tuned to this newsletter
for details on upcoming sweepstakes. |

8. Grin & Win Trivia Fun |
|
During the month of March, spring officially
arrives. The Vernal Equinox is the day when sunrise and
sunset are roughly 12 hours apart and is observed this
year on March 20, 2006. What does the word “equinox” mean?
Send your answer to fontrivia@LetteringDelights.com with “Grin & Win” in
the subject line. All correct answers will be entered in
a drawing to receive a $20 gift certificate to Lettering
Delights.
Congratulations to Debbie LaRue-Crist,
Jeanne Matthews and Tracy Nolan who knew that Esther A.
Howland was the woman who first designed, made and sold
valentines in the U.S. |
