The Great Packing Experience |
|
|
|
|
|
Packing
everything you own for a 2,500 mile trip across the United
State is quite an adventure; it’s nothing like moving
across town or around the corner. For anyone who has not
packed all of your creative supplies, I highly recommend
it! It’s a great way to be inspired, find new “old” things
and get energized for the possibilities. The downside:
not being able to tap into that energy now. But I’ve
had a notepad close to take notes, so hopefully the inspiration
will return when I unpack it all.
I’m sure many of you have had this great packing
experience (although you may not choose to remember it).
As I’ve spent many evenings sitting among boxes,
bubble wrap and tape, I’ve thought – should
I take pictures of this mess? So far vanity has won,
but I think I’ll give in before it’s all
over. It’s a big event and later, I know I’ll
want some pictures to tell the whole story of the move.
All of the moments are important, even the ones that
seem messy and unorganized. Next week, after it’s
all over, I’ll have a new perspective and treasure
the things I found during the experience.
