Enjoy Changes Big and Small |
|

|
|
The
start of school has brought a new routine for everyone.
Seeing the kids at the bus stop caught me off guard on
the first day of school, but it’s a familiar sight
now. It’s fun to wave to them each morning and see
how they all seem eager for what the day will bring. I
like starting the day that way--but if I actually see the
bus, I know I’m running late!
Sometimes I feel like things never change and most weeks
are about the same. Then a simple thought like imagining
the new school year through the eyes of a child makes
me remember that change is constant, whether we notice
it or not. Little changes, like a new subject in school,
can open up limitless possibilities. Or a simple change
in the weather, a few more cooler evenings, signals that
fall is just around the corner, and I can look forward
to the beauty the season will bring.
Big changes can be good, but enjoy the small ones too,
those that happen around you as well as those you create
yourself.
