coming to an end. It's time to sit back and enjoy the lights,
the music, the smells, the joy, the family, the friends
and the surprises. Whether your celebrations will be large

the best of the season with family, friends and loved ones.

| The Christmas
season is practically synonymous with baking and the Christmas
cookie is most often what keeps us at the oven. Cookie
exchanges are a popular way to share the baking tasks with
friends and when my invitation to participate arrived this
year I decided that I wanted to make something really unique.
You are probably wondering how my baking a cookie could
be a part of this month's creative corner but there is
a method to my madness. I decided to make fortune cookies
so Lettering Delights fonts and some fun holiday DoodleBats became an important part of the plan.

The fortunes are printed on 3”x ½” strips
of paper. I used a word processing program, dividing my
sheet into two 3” columns. I chose seven different
holiday wishes; you could choose more or just one so they
are all the same. Each fortune is in a different festive
font and then for a little something extra, I added a decorative
DoodleBat to the beginning and end of each fortune.
Once you have the fortune(s) decided on and formatted,
just copy and paste to fill both columns on your page,
print and trim to size. It's that easy! They don't all
have to be exactly the same so don't stress about perfect
spacing. I used all black ink for easy reading in such
a small size but adding color would add even more fun to
these festive fortunes. You could also make larger cookies,
requiring larger fortunes and allowing for even more creativity.
