Remember all the fun you had as a kid making homemade Valentines? With a little help from Lettering Delights, it’s easy to make sure your own kids, grandkids, students, nieces and nephews can have the same fun you did.

From the Creative Delights Companion, print sheets of Journaling Delights adornments, corners and even text boxes. Create more variety by printing additional sheets of sweet expressions in a variety of Valentine alphabets. Printed Tag sheets provide fun shapes and colors for handwritten messages. Print some Valentine Paper Packs to give maximum variety. Add in some blank cardstock, scissors and glue stick for an afternoon of home made fun. To create Alphabet ‘expressions’:
Open the Creative Delights Companion and select an alphabet design. Type the text of your ‘expression’, place it on the Layout page and reduce it down to a workable size. (Consider placing spaces between each letter to allow extra room for the kids to cut out individual letters.) Once you have a full layout page, print one or more copies on white cardstock and have fun creating more.

To create sheets of Journaling Delights:
Open the Creative Delights Companion and select a Journaling Delight design. Select the desired image, place it on the Layout page and reduce it down to a workable size. If you choose to add a Valentine wish to a text box, select the image and then ‘Add Text’. Type your message, using the tools for proper size and placement. Once the image (with the added text) is on the layout page, size it as appropriate. Print the full layout page(s) on white cardstock and let the creativity begin.

Use a few or as many designs as you want, but let the kids express their creativity to the fullest. Be sure to consider the ages of the kids you’ll be creating with as you layout the shapes and words, leaving more cutting room for smaller hands. Also, consider how many will be making valentines and be sure to print enough of each sheet for everyone.
