Why
is it that inspiration hits around 1:00 a.m.? Or am I the
only one this happens to? I’ve had the photos and
papers for a particular layout spread across the table
all day but just wasn’t coming up with anything I
liked. Then, just before heading to bed (when it was already
really late), I decided to take another look. That’s
when it hit me- the perfect idea. So I printed off and
pulled together the pieces I needed and went to work. I
was happy with the results but by then it was after 2:00am.
And I was just getting going.
Maybe it is the quiet of the night? Maybe my right-brain
creativity works better when I’m tired? I’m
not sure what the reason is, but I do my best work late
at night. And, I’ll answer my own question and say
that I know I’m not the only person who gets inspiration
in the middle of the night. There have been more than a
few alphabets, Journaling
Delights and fonts purchased
during the wee hours of morning.
I learned to try not to worry about the hands of the clock
and let inspiration come when it’s so inclined. It
may be quiet and dark around me, but I’m sure someone,
somewhere, is having a similar experience.
