I've been putting together a workshop about all the different ways to preserve family memories so of course I've been thinking a lot about scrapbooks, but more time has been spent thinking about all of the things that are not in them. All of those fun memories that just happened. They are not pictures of the events and they were not part of any larger celebration or special occasion. They just happened; in the car, in the yard or even at the dinner table.

For me, most of these fun memories, involve sheer silliness. Most often talked about by my family are the times that I 'lose it', which means something (or someone – my brothers have been known to make plotted attempts) gets me laughing and it's all over – I end up laughing so uncontrollably that I can hardly breathe, my eyes water and my stomach muscles start to ache. This of course gets everyone else laughing. The vain part of me is very glad there are not photo records of these moments, and while I've been able to control myself more with age, it can still happen on rare occasions.

When I saw the new Jillustration Silly Jilly Bundle, these are the memories I immediately thought of. I hope that we all have memories like these. Memories that make us want to laugh and help us remember to have fun – for no reason at all!
