June
is the most popular month of the year to get married. You
may already be invited to a wedding this month! Would you
agree that all weddings are the same: two people who come
together in a legal union? But at the same time weddings
are all so very, very different. Each is unique reflection
of the couple; their personalities, their relationship
and their love. Take my most recent two wedding experiences
as examples….
At the first, I was a guest of the groom. The formal wedding
mass had a large group of guests, and was followed by a
cocktail party and reception with dinner and dancing into
the night. I was a friend of the bride at the second wedding.
Her wedding was a simple religious ceremony attended by
a small number of close family and friends. An informal
and beautiful garden reception followed.
Both weddings were a great amount of fun, full of joy,
laughter, family and friends, in beautiful settings with
wonderful food. Both events marked the beginning of new
life chapters and created wonderful memories for everyone.
And both were perfect for the individual couples. Both
were the same but both were very different.
