Using Extended Font Characters

Many fonts have other characters available than the standard ones you see on an American keyboard.

It is important to note that accented letters are not recognized by all browsers and not all fonts include them. To enter the extended characters into text, follow these steps:

  1. Note the number at the left of the required character.
  2. Place the cursor in the text where the extended character is to appear.
  3. Hold the [ALT] key down and, via the Keypad, enter "0" plus the number.
  4. Take your finger off the [Alt] key and the character should appear.
